I'm working towards getting back to work. Which means working harder to get back into shape.
This used to be easier.
Not that it was ever easy (I was never one to drop 5 lbs by walking around the block), but now it's really hard. Harder, anyway.
My efforts this week will include discovering an accurate resting heart rate.
So first thing this morning, I woke up and started counting. 59. Alright.
Then, just because, I reached over and found Mike's bump bump and counted. 60 seconds? 46 beats.
46!
And he thinks he's out of shape.
Grrr.

Game Time
On Sept 26th we took Ryder to his very first MLB game. The Nats hosted the Braves, who crushed them in 9 quick innings. But on the plus side, the defeat was so quick that we got to see the whole game. And it was still lots of fun since we were under no illusions that the Nats might actually pull off a win. I think Ryder had a good time, too. He usually likes any place where there are people to stare at.
Mike took Ryder down for a closer look. He was really excited about the cup holders.

Chompers
Ryder finally cut his first tooth! If you look close, you can see a little white gem poking through. He kept us up two nights straight, but besides that, he's been his usual sweet self. He even let me take this picture of that uncomfortable looking pose.

The Undressing Begins
I guess Ryder was surprised, too, that he was able to get that pesky shirt at least halfway off. According to Kerry, Mike used to remove his diapers and throw them across the room. I'm hoping Ryder's undressing stops at the clothing.
